Hot take, bare with me:
AI supported art works should not be deemed lesser art, given at this point it can be considered a style. However, it should be documented in the art world as such and taught how it works, meshes and so forth.
People tend to scam when they have a reason to do so, e.g., financial poverty, jaded world view or narcissism. So while we all know these AI users selling their works are grifters, the prevalence of it in every single space, especially in art tells me there is something fundamentally elitist to these people that they feel they need to attack it on mass. In short, give consequences for those who lie, but give carrots to the honest ones.
