The extreme amount of automation that is present in trucks now doesnt even work properly. Ask any trucker that is forced to drive with it. My seatbelt in my truck has saved me from the tech in my truck. It will read the off ramp speed limit sign and suddenly slow down, or scream until I slow it down, 25 in a 70mph lane. I was practically the only one on the road, cruising for hundreds of miles, no other vehicles or off ramps within miles, then all of a sudden the truck comes to a screeching stop. That one bruised me up pretty bad from the steering wheel. I was in a construction zone where the lane shifted to the left a little, I was already under the posted speed limit and again, a screeching stop. I am very blessed the truck behind me didnt hit me. That nearly caused a domino effect of wrecking vehicles as there were a long line of vehicles behind us. Ive been saying for a long time that tech is NOT ready to be released like this. Not to mention, does hauling haz mat by a robot seem like a good idea?
