Sometimes I have to wonder if people feared the introduction of vending machines (they did) just as the robots are feared today. Anyway, when birthrates in 'advanced' economies and dictatorships that thought a one-child policy was a good idea independently (and spontaneously?) shifted to birthrates that can't even support current population levels, then what is the alternative to automation if an economic system that at it's core believes in a linear (at the very least) growth trajectory?
