As someone who is also diagnosed with depression, and admittedly turned to AI for some clarity, I’m sorry, but it is not only an AI chatbot that drives people to kill themselves. People who are supposed to support, understand and love unconditionally — but do otherwise — play a huge part. A battle with depression is years in the making, yet a lot of people refuse to recognize the signs, and even deny them. Judgment and dismissiveness are the biggest killers of depressed people.
