you do understand that the ONLY original artist on this planet is the first cavemen who started to put pigment on a cave wall. Since then everyone copied or got inspired from him. If I ask you why you are doing art, where did you learn you will probably tell me the name of 2 or 3 of your favorite artist who greatly inspired you, maybe a teacher who taught you cool technics or a youtube video/channel who both inspired and/or taught you.
The AI does the SAME thing. He learn from the data he sees, and when he receive a prompt he create a NEW art inspired by what he saw and learned. EXACTLY like you do. If I ask you to create my original DnD character: he<s an half elf, dragon ic sorcerer who got curse with lycanthropie, you will search the internet for images of half elf, images of half dragon and dragonborn, images of werewolf, get inspired by those and meld them together to come up with a new character base on my request.
