If AI replaces humans in jobs and essentially makes most people unemployed it would mean that the entire global economy would collapse as without consumers there is no economy. Which means that fear of it taking everyones jobs and everyone being left in complete poverty are unfounded as we need close to full employment or everyone gets paid a salary for doing nothing in order for the world to function.
