It's funny. But as with whole lot of funny jokes about "ai bros' it's not true. Unfortunately so. For more than a year.
The filters of images to combine & repaint gets better with every day, and the amount of effort to put something into an img to img or variation are usually less that promting, and gets far superior results. Because it's literary an overpainting \ remix of an existing quality image.
