I’m a little bit late and this is a bit off topic, but I think AI will never truly replace art because of art culture. Majority of these AI bros are usually mid-adults (no hate against the age) who assume art is mega huge movies, and giant animation projects, and ultra realistic paintings, you get the point. But they’re simply looking at the big picture and missing all the little details. Nowadays, sure artists still create and love big projects and realism - but yk how an artist hates it when someone assumes the end goal is just photorealism or anime? Now we’re more centered around unique style and more abstract things which usually won’t create an awe-struck movie (not that it’s a bad thing), just search up “Animation Memes” and boom - you get a thousand unique styles and characters and stories!!! The art community doesn’t want just anime and realism, we promote every new artist to make something unique, something special, and most importantly something with love, effort and passion because that’s the WHOLE POINT of art! AI bros will never achieve the ability to replace art because they just borrow off of what already exists and what they think everyone likes (kinda like the AI they use lol) AI can’t create something new and using AI like you said, is just theft. My point is, AI and AI bros lack creativity!!!! Sorry for the yap and sorry if my English is a bit wonky here and there
