I love art and i think AI could never recreate that spark of human creativity. But I am done underestimating what these AI can do. Transformer and Diffusion models are not AGI, but the point of the Turing Test is that we don't need them to be. I think soon AI will be able to understand and reconstruct concepts such as metaphor and contrast.
It's up to creatives and lawmakers to ensure that legislation and regulstions are put into place to ensure that people will not be exploited by the oncoming storm of AI.
