AI finally gave some people the thing they've wished for the most - the ability to delude themselves into thinking they are talented, imaginative artists, without putting any of the work or effort into developing actual skills, or even having baseline talent to begin with.
I enjoy the idea of AI art to help people in the design process where it is used as a step to help various creators who may not be great draftsmen like writers, directors, set designers, etc. more clearly get across what it is they are looking for, but inputting a few prompts does not make you any more of an artist than me making an AI song makes me a musician.
