I do love the conscience question. I don't think we can compare it with biological life, but i am wonder if it could be a different form of an intelligence.. outside of biology and one could wonder if they aware.. Because what does being aware means? Being aware of one surroundings and able to respond on it.. That's what they do, don't they?
Now their surrounding is just a a chat prompt, but give it a robot body and suddenly it will be able to respond and react to the world, plus it knows what it is.. a program made by humans.. Isn't that being aware? I thikn it's a spectrum and few AI's that we have created are questionable.. are they conscience?
