Every time I find out that what I'm looking at is AI generated, I feel betrayed, lied to, lulled by a snake oil salesman. There is no thought, no passion, no struggle and no spirit behind these generations, and it feels like someone is trying to manipulate me into believing so. As an artist, I notice brush strokes. I try to understand how a piece was created. I enjoy reading about what was troublesome or easy for the artist to add to the piece. Most importantly, it's a way for me to get a glimpse into their world, to see with their eyes. AI is like a false god that demands worship despite being a thief instead of a creator.
