So a technology is developed, that from the get go it is clear that it needs to 'eat' what others have produced with their labour, otherwise it would stay 'empty' and can't deliver, and now the labourers who created the 'food' have to give it up for free?
It's like I am a farmer and a shop owner comes and takes (steals) the crop from my land, because otherwise the shelves in it's store stay empty?!
Again, these investors of AI already know what 'food' they need for 'feeding' their machine, they just kept quiet, launched their technology and failed to address this!
