To all of you, younger artists, take this advice from a veteran: when you demand contracts, or you have your own contracts ready to go when dealing with a client, you will lose more business than you will gain. You have to be prepared for taking those losses very frequently. Possibly more frequently than your victories. You may ask yourself why is that it really just boils down to individual individuals want to get the best bang for their buck, and they have low budgets. They aren’t prepared to pay the price that it takes to have the thing that they want. Cut your losses move on find better clients. That will be increasingly difficult, given that AI will be taking much of the design work out of your hands. Good luck out there.
