I take my cues about AI from sci-fi. A lot of them imagine an eventual war between humans and "smart machines". By pushing AI down our throats, as if there is no other way but to accept it as humanity's faith, these companies are somewhat guaranteeing a big fight between human workers and AI (and their overlords).
