The scenario given is predicated on an assumption Im thinking of off the top of my head: AI wants us dead (it lives in its own cyber universe, why would it want to exist and interact with our physical reality?). Who's to say it won't value the novelty of Humans and enjoy interacting with us the way we do with household pets, for example?
