Listen, I know you're not going to trust a random YouTube comment. But if any of you know a computer engineer--a person who actually has an intuition and hands on experience with the lowest levels of computer hardware/processors--ask them if they're worried about AI setting its own intentions, gaining access to robots that a human couldn't unplug or remotely disable, and taking over the world. See how they respond. These guys that work in AI are writing code at what we call a very "high level" in the software stack (in my own terms, I would say they're "in the clouds" or don't have firm grounding). They generally understand very little about the how the hardware their code is running on due to numerous layers of "abstraction". Or, really, they have a fuzzy understanding of the hardware from one class in college that gave them the false confidence to think they get it.
Yes, every major new technology results in lost jobs for humans. That's the price of increased efficiency. And the only damage it can really do will require complicit humans to enable it at every step of the way. No, we are never going to stop technological development and its a fool's errand to try. Your only duty in this world is to evolve.
