The fact automating a job is so scary to people speaks volumes on the flaws of the current system. Maybe instead of having a society where practically everyone needs to work for their whole lives to survive, that aspect could be changed and we don't need to rely on corporations gracing us with the opportunity to work a 9-5 job simply to survive and thrive.
Of course, people in the short term will be hurt. I'm still looking for that job to survive here.
