As someone who does coding on a small level, I tend to agree with you that AI will take time (in my opinion more than 10 years) before it can put most coders out of job. As most software or apps are for human use, only we can understand and know what the user needs. I am still learning programming or improving my skills. AI helps a lot but is nowhere at a stage where it can do everything.
