I'm a writer and this has been such a huge issue in our community. Last year with the NaNoWriMo fiasco, I heard so many people saying if you're against AI you're an ableist. To date I've published 50 short stories and 13 books. I have autism and I'm dyslexic, but work hard to hone my craft and will never use AI. It might take more time, but I put my heart, soul, and in many cases, nightmares, into my work. Clankers have no soul to put in any art. I went to a restaurant and ordered a lovely meal. I added some specific changes to the items like holding the onions and cilantro, and added a side of mash potatoes. When the food was brought out, I said wow, I'm an amazing chef. Look at this meal I made. I took photos and posted it on the internet and should Michelin star soon, right?
