I do think that it should be able to be copywritten as anything one owns makes sense to copyright more or less, but that does NOT make him an artist. If I ask someone to draw me 100 art pieces and I pick one, I am not suddenly an artist. I think people are too hard on AI art but the one thing that is not really up for dispute is that the AI IS the artist - not anyone giving it prompts...
