The reason artwork created by humans is perceivable by humans is because humans have the ability to perceive the real world including the artwork of current and past artists. In a similar way, artificial intelligence perceives and creates artwork. Is it copyright infringement when a person looks at artwork created by another person? And did the artist who claims copyright infringement also commit copyright infringement when they had previously looked at or listened to or tasted the work of another artist? WE are always perceiving the world and learning and using that information, are we the always using that information and thus infringing upon someone's copyright?
