Im a computer vision guy so take this with a grain of salt, but we do use a lot of the same tools. What people have to understand is that a generative model like ChatGPT is just a text generator. It's going through these tokens (which are just words in most cases) and using a learning algorithm to determine given the input, the previous responses, and the previous output words, which word to pick. It doesn't have any intelligence beyond that. It doesn't have the ability to check it's work or use logic or any of that. It's nothing beyond a text generator.
