I think many people are not picking up on the subtle arrogance of Dr Roman and his contempt for ordinary people which he calls 'NPCs.' He really lays bare the obsession of these oligarchs - immortality, no childbirth, and technology at the expense of ordinary people. At first he really seems like he is warning against AI but if you listen closely enough he seems to be a big fan of the world it would create. Most people hear a few things they like and run with that, without reading between the lines. There really isn't anyone trustworthy in the AI space. By the way, what are these mysterious 5 remaining jobs that he hasn't beaten down?
