Everyone spitting doom and gloom about AI has obviously not used LLMs since their mainstream inception in the early 20s. The developmental curve of factual quality, hallucinations and actual mimicking of human interaction has fallen behind projections from back then by a huge margin. Even professional doomsayers from the sci alt right like Peterson have acknowledged this.
