The EU AI Act is vital. The US should learn from the EU and implement a similar policy that allows for some flexibility for innovation and long-term, inclusive economic growth yet is still fair, transparent and enforceable. Also, company reporting and compliance needs to be clear, easy and cheap to implement
This will help to protect jobs, reduce security risks, protect IP and brand reputation, enabling AI to be used for good -- to solve real problems, rather than replace people.
