IMO the issue is mostly with them using other peoples art to train the models, using ai to make art i dont think is in itself bad, its would be more like using a library of non-copyrightrd images ot music to put into your video. The issue is the stealing not the tech.
When it comes to profitability i think we are in an AI bubble right now and it will not last, however, I still think the tech is here to stay, its similar to the .net bubble in the late 90s early 00s. They also had the same issue with profitability, overhyping, and overinvesting.
