I was brow beaten out of pursuing my dream of being an artist from a very young age by my parents. Every time i would create my own comic book at the age pf 4 before i could read, something would happen and it would get destroyed. And so my drive and force of will were kneecapped. Now i haul manure. But i always kept writing, id just store it in my head to a curated playlist. If it's in my head then no one can destroy it. That was my struggle. A few years later i did manage to attend some art classes at a community college. Not because i expected to make a career out of it, just because that's what i wanted to do. I found joy in it, and i was good at it. Especially gesture drawing and oil painting. My parents paid for both of my older sisters to go to college. They did not entertain the idea that i would go to college. After all, they were very successful in killing my drive to be successful in life so at that point college would have been a waste. I agree that the AI should be ethically sourced. I have been using chatgpt to lay out my stories sequentially, and to fix contradictions, inconsistencies, etc... i want to make these stories into a reality, for the sake of giving something to the world. I have been dabbling in AI art and it currently seems like my best path forward. I have no ties to the art community. I have no other artists to help me and i have no money to pay them. So what would you do in my position? I've never gotten any favors from other artists.
