I'm tired from all of this. If AI had no access to copyright works all would be good. People have no empathy, nobody thinks if some of their work would be stolen by some company to make a software that can replicate exactly how they make stuff and starts selling it without their consent, how they would be feeling about that. If the artists works weren't in the datasets, AI couldn't make those type of arts, because it actually needs that information to exist and don't try to compare AI to a human, because first is software and has no ethical or moral thoughts, and second anybody can use it however they want, even if it means replicating the same results of an actual artist. If AI was at it's max potential, being the way it is right now, no company would be hiring artists, they would be all using prompts to create the art pieces they need, because of course, it would be way cheaper. PS: If any AI "artist" had their "art" stolen they probably would be mad about it. The last thing is saying that they're actually artists if the work was made by the AI itself and they just setting the prompts, exactly the same as someone paying for a commision.
