Forget about unemployment in the near future. Even if it becomes technically possible to produce a humanoid robot capable of working like a highly skilled tiler or plumber, it will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions. What will power this robot? A nuclear battery?
Artificial intelligence replacing computer work will be very expensive. Few even prosperous corporations will be able to afford it.
I believe that we are more likely to perish from AI, like in the Last Judgement, than to run out of work.
