self driving cars fail to improve what transportation all technology has been working towards for forever, which is, getting you there in less time with less hassle. self driving cause fundamentally don't fix this. you still have to drive 5 hours for a 5 hour car ride. maybe marginally less if all cars are self driving and reduce traffic. there's no benefit to self driving cars.
