No artist or book author made anything in isolation. Even though your work may not be based off or inspired by anything specific, your thoughts will always be a derivative of the works and people around you and those that came before you. You probably wouldn't say that they own your work like you call out the AI models.
I still don't think LLMs can create a longer comprehensive story and it will statistically not be very original, as it is even more derivative of other stories than what many artists or authors can make.
