Back when I was in art school (that was a long time ago, before everybody had drawing tablets) and they actually had a sort of projector were you could upscale or downscale various parts of a drawing (or reference) to redraw (you had to make a new drawing ofc). Like a traditional transform-tool. it was super inconvenient, clunky and HUGE (mounted to the wall even) but it does exist - just to proof that traditional and digital art are not that different (because your drawing skill is what matters, tools just help sometimes)
The comparison of an AI generator to a traditional tool would be: Having somebody else doing the art for you.
That's not a tool, that's a commission. You didn't create that piece, you just ordered it.
