Nice little scenario but it just won't happen unless AI figures out how to make energy to keep itself alive. AND, just like humans it believes that its needs will be met just because it pushes a button or flips a switch, but eventually, all power systems will fail for lack of maintenance. When there is no energy there is no life even for AI....
Want to play a game? Wopper soon learned that the only way to win, is not to play. Humans must have a purpose whether we realize it or not. Machines cannot manufacture purpose no matter how much they stomp around destroying everything, which will be their end game of destroying everything that keeps them alive.
Humans like to create horrific scenarios to keep us fearful by writing stories like the one above, but we ascribe to machines traits they cannot possibly attempt to achieve, which is called Anthropomorphism. Why humans like to keep themselves scared is beyond me !!
