I already see adds everywhere for AI foreign language teaching, and Duolingo (a slop app on the best of days) tried to replace all their staff with AI too. Can AI teach a foreign language? Well, DeepSeek told me that Chinese and Japanese share the same word order, so it's about as good as a native speaker I guess
