In the game, when two avatars meet, you can sort of walk through each other; it looks very messy, but neither of them is real, so in the digital graphics world, you can pass through each other. In real life, this is, of course, impossible, as humans are made of biological matter, and you generally can't simply walk through each other. I saw, and I don't know if this dude was autistic or just a lunatic immersed in an online imaginary world, this dude was attempting to get to a particular product on a shelf in the supermarket, blocked by another customer doing their shopping, this dude, rather than say excuse me and reach around the other person, do that perfect dance when shopping in a public space where everyone is in such close proximity you have to be conscience of not actually entering the person next to you. actually tried walking through them. This dude literally just walked straight into this other person, put both his arms through the arms of the person in front of him, and tried to grab the item he wanted. I had this instant image in my head of two Roblox avatars trying to walk through each other. 100% this bloke was so convinced the digital realm was real and he was a part of it. There are so many wackos out there now; social media and online gaming have given birth to millions of psychotic people who have made a conscious choice to believe the digital realm over the physical. AI is only going to make this worse. What is an AI girlfriend? In my day, they called that an imaginary friend, and you could be sectioned for having them. The only people using AI will be the utterly psychotic, people who simply choose to live in a delusional state. Every electronic gadget has an off button. You choose to spend your life scrolling through other people's delusions, made-up stories that you no longer have the intelligence to question. Just turn it off, go outside, and live in the real world. Social media is designed for special children who require a whole heap of approval, validation, and attention. Acting like a psychotic special child online is deemed OK, but do it in reality, and you're very likely to be arrested under the Mental Health Act. There are clear and definitive boundaries there, and most people are trying to normalise the latter; there are more babies out there now than normal people. Why do they say that this generation is the first generation to not have technology? Like you have to live with it, there is an off button; you don't have to live with anything, you choose to.
