I wonder why there were no high fidelity pattern recognizing algorithms based on the logic of the first example (recognizing beak, eye, proportions, edge - concluding it's a bird).
Seems like it would have been indispensable in manufacturing, defense, medicine.
Just a super narrow skillset:
- Detect only patterns of black tooth decay on whitish tooth.
- Detect specific planes on satellite images.
- Detect specific shape of manufactured part, and hit alarm, if any irregularities.
