The same people that champion AI are the same that assume they will eventually be able to upload their consciousness to some jumble of silicon and copper. Or to the Cloud. They view humans as obsolete. They don’t value human life because they view humanity with the same contempt that AI seems to.
At the end of the day there is no substitute for the “soul”.
