There is one good prediction about a smart AI in Hitchiker's Guide to the galaxy (the original BBC TV show ,not the sterile Hollywood rubbish) where the computer Deep Thought tells the philosophers that it will give them an answer to the meaning of life,the universe and everything but it will take a million/thousand years to compute.They aren't happy about having to wait,but the computer points out that the philosophers will be able to get rich and famous and eat out on speculating about the result for many of generations.
