If I were a 'leader' in a cut throat world, I would stage a fake AI system that 'goes rogue' in order to be blameless when 'AI' abolishes world population. Luckily I dont have a cowardly selfish heart and would instead assemble 'an army' of intellects and engineers to supervise the world wide clean up effort that's desperately needed. I would also have an international effort to send into space materials in order to manufacture in space "space umbrellas" (large thin sheets of reflective materials that expand in a rectangular shape) that would give much needed shade right over the poles to have night winters 24/7/52 until ice builds up again
