This AI hype is shenanigans. Digital computers can only simulate reality that's all they are doing today in AI. Your computer doesn't understand you it doesn't like you it's just trucking you into believing those things by simulation. I say the major problem is the AI project started with an academic goal of simulating the brain. Who cares????? what use is that to make a computer lie. That's what normal people call a bug needing to be fixed. We already have plenty of humans who lie. So the smartest people The country spent 50 years developing AI but they wasted oceans of time pursuing that academic goal. Meanwhile two guys at Google revolutionized the search engine in 5 years using traditional methods. If those AI people spent that 50 years exclusively focused on the goal of improving the utility of the computer via traditional methods we would be so much further along in the things that matter without scaring people .
