Thank YOU Sam, for voicing this out!
It has annoyed me so much this whole time~ One of the most frequent reasoning the "AI artist" gave for the their justification is to compare it with how artist uses references..and that there's nothing original in this world anymore! The way I see it, they hv no idea how artists used references at all, and how inspiration works. Like Sam said, artist always able to add their own touches to it, not copy it one per one, pixel per pixel like AI does.
This truly saddens me, but I will not give up my passion in art..just as many of us shouldn't!
