I am 10000000% against self driving, but acting like vandalising electric vehicles indiscriminately is a moral good... is horrible. Our government does not care, but that's who needs to be convinced. Interfering with business is just going to get these tech companies to lobby your interference into a crime.
Anyway, even though I drive a tesla, self driving should be outlawed entirely, and if I had things my way, every road in the US would receive a safety overhaul an traffic laws would be very very strictly enforced. Also, a majority of the issue with road being unsafe is unironically lack of intelligence and conscious. Whether it's tik tok addiction, shifting poles, micro plastics, whatever, our population is rapidly losing their minds. No amount of safety regulations can fix the danger that comes from people becoming soulless and stupid.
