Hello comment section, I'm here to reassure everyone who saw this video and started feeling worried about AI and stuff to not feel scared lmao. I'll go straight to the point, the arguments presented on the video like "what if AI turns on us?", "It'll get better and better at understanding us" and etc can be easely dismissed once you understand how AI works, simply knowing how to program can open your eyes to how all this shit really works. In short, we program by defining "instructions" and then running the program, AI is a little different but follows the same principle, someone defines instructions and the program follows them, the more complex the instructions the more complex the program will be, any program is limited by its programing, no AI will do something its not programmed to do, and if it does, then the code was wrongly written, but nonetheless, Programers make shit, and if a Human doesnt know what consciousness is it can NEVER be programmed into a machine, something thet we cant even express in words like love can NEVER be programmed, there will never be a "General AI" in a cage trying to escape unless someone fucking programs it to try to escape or smth. What I'm trying to say here is that AI is made using many complex "natural selection" process (search it up if you want to know more) but it will ALWAYS be an imitation, It will NEVER do something its not programmed to do, it is literally unable to do anything like that, no AI will EVER sundely gain consciousness, its bound by its programming and it will never be more than that, its just code. There are only 2 types of AI, programs coded to pretend to be conscious, and programs who were not coded to pretend. Just Like the ppl who interacted with ELIZA believed it was soo human, Y'all believe AI is alive, but both cases occur because you guys lack the knowledge necessary to understand what it all really is. So Y'all can chill, btw I'm not undermining anyone who does not code or anything, just wanted to show the roots for the misunderstanding of AI and therefore clarify why AI will NEVER become this philosopher or smth who discovers the secret of life and is more alive than us, thats just how ppl who dont understand how it all works think. If everyone knew how it really works, no one would make those types of claims.
