The real danger is that these "AI" algorithm aren't really all that intelligent but really rather stupid. They use very simplistic things to make their decisions. Things that people could program "normally" but would never do because their shortcomings would be obvious. But if you call it "AI" you just ignore it and just look at the overall rate.
But this is really unreliable.
