I don’t like the emphasis you put on legality. And you take for granted the idea that intellectually property and copyright are “just” simply because they are law. How can you call it theft when one replicates something? The original still exists, there is simply more to go around. I think you should look into the arguments regarding piracy, as they actually have more relation to AI than you may think.
