I feel like AI and actual artists should learn to coexist. Artists like SamDoesArts and Lavender Towne essentially throw tantrums about it. Sam is much more mature than Lavender. He uploaded a video teaching people how to draw in the iconic Studio Ghibli art style instead of relying on AI, which shows that he believes AI is making people lazy about learning. Lavender, on the other hand, is far more unhinged—saying things like it's "stealing" or whatever emotional, non-logical argument she thinks will stick. By the way, it's not stealing. It's taking inspiration (exactly like humans do) from multiple man-made works and stitching them together. Again, humans take inspiration the same way. Why else would so many "original" artworks look so similar? If you want to turn off AI (it’s never going away) then just don’t use it. Wait until they find out about Recolor. They will IMPLODE. Now THAT'S a software that encourages stealing. Seeing Lavender’s reaction would be HILARIOUS. I’d go to that video in a heartbeat. No hard feelings. I just think it would be funny.
