1) Driverless vehicles do not need to be perfect. They just need to be better than a human driver. And they will get there, sooner or later.
2) There ain't no stopping automation. Economics always wins.
3) How can we implement automation such that it benefits EVERYONE, not just billionaires? We'd all like a 3 day work week, right?
4) We will have to fundamentally rethink how our society divides up it's wealth -- as well as it's relatively few remaining chores. We'll need an economic system that hasn't even been thought of yet. Time to get creative.
5) If we don't get a handle on this, then we'll have robots pumping out vast amounts of wealth that nobody can afford. In that case, what's the point?
6) Being the eternal pessimist, I'd say that we're building a dystopian hellscape.
