i genuinely find ai art ugly and i don't think there is an ounce of art involved when generating an ai image (calling it ai "art" is a stretch in the first place, it's like me saying i'm an artist because my pintrest feed is nice) that being said i don't think the argument that real art has meaning thanks to it's artists will convince anyone that would use ai from not using it. i'm still not sure how much ai will get better but if it does get good enough where you cannot tell if it's made by an ai (not that it becomes a good artist just that you can't tell it's ai) i don't think a 90% of people would really care where the art came from. i feel like the only reason most people don't like ai art is just because it's genuinely just terrible.
