I get it, it's a flex to give a speech like this wearing a psychedelic t shirt and cargo pants... so progressive! Or, perhaps demonstrating a complete lack of self awareness. I'm all about freedom of expression, but giving a speech at a robotics/AI conference is not the place to make such a statement, "I'm a genius, I can do/wear whatever I want".
